Full Stack Developer Building Web Applications and AI
I'm Ilyas Omar, a full-stack web developer based in Bern, Switzerland, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from abroad. I build web applications and APIs using modern JavaScript technologies, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable code that solves real problems.
My coding journey started in 2019 with PHP, building systems with vanilla PHP and CodeIgniter. Over time, I moved into the JavaScript world, first with React.js and Node.js, then into the PERN stack, and now I focus on building full-stack applications with Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and PostgreSQL.

Finexa Finance App
A personal finance application. It covers bank account management, income and expense tracking, internal transfers between accounts, transaction categorization, task management, journal, and payment entries. I built this for my own personal needs and realized it is something many people can benefit from. It helps you track your daily and monthly transactions, get clear reports on your income and expenses, see exactly where your money is going, and keep track of who owes you and who you owe so you can make better financial decisions going forward. Job Portal Application
This Job Board App is a high-performance full-stack platform built with Next.js 16 and TypeScript to streamline the hiring process. It features a dual-sided architecture where employers manage job lifecycles and applicants track real-time progress via a personal dashboard. Using Prisma, PostgreSQL, and Auth.js v5, I focused on secure state-driven workflows and a polished UI with Shadcn. Barber Web App
A full-stack barbershop management application built with the PERN stack. It covers customer management, service management, appointment scheduling, sales invoicing, and payment methods, including bank, Twint, and cash. This is also one of the fastest projects I have ever built, which reflects how comfortable I am with this stack. The project demonstrates how a real-world business management system is structured, with a clean dashboard interface and a well-organized backend built with Prisma and PostgreSQL.
Quiz Application
A full-stack quiz application built with Next.js and TypeScript. It covers quiz creation, question and option management, timed quizzes with start and end times, and attempt tracking per user. Authentication is handled using Better Auth, supporting credentials, Google, and GitHub login. The project demonstrates how a real-world interactive assessment platform is structured, with a clean interface and a well-organized backend built with Prisma and PostgreSQL.
Barber Website
A barbershop website built using React.js 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Framer Motion. It features sections including partners, about, services, gallery, pricing, testimonials, and contact. The project demonstrates how a modern service-based website is structured, with smooth animations throughout and a clean, well-organized layout from top to bottom.
Frontendmentor Challenge REST Countries API
This REST Countries API project is a clean, responsive Single Page Application (SPA) built with Vanilla JavaScript and Tailwind CSS. It features a dynamic data-fetching system that allows users to search for countries, filter by region, and toggle between light and dark modes. By navigating nested API objects dynamically, the application displays detailed information for every nation, including border countries and currency details, providing a seamless and high-performance user experience.
